Bridges of Hope partners Hope Connects with national university and dental communities to help fund the reconstruction of the Boyo Secondary School in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Participating dental offices can have a direct impact on the lives of children in this country making a small donation from the proceeds of each crown and bridge procedure for one month.
Program Details
After more than a decade of deadly conflict in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), women continue to experience sexual assault and abuse, communities have become destabilized, and many parents are finding it difficult to care for their children, especially providing them with an education. Even if parents have the resources to send their children to school, most schools have been destroyed and communities do not have the funds to rebuild them, leaving their children with limited or no access to quality education.
For 31 days, dental offices will have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of these children by pledging a small donation for every bridge and crown procedure that is completed. In return, Hope Connects will provide all participating dental offices with a visual display to outwardly demonstrate their commitment to improving lives and providing hope, as well as tools that will help conveniently track the total number of procedures performed each week and month. Additionally, each of these offices will have their company information featured on the Hope Connects website, and, as Hope Connects is sponsored by the 501(c)(3) organization Plano Land & Trust, all donations are tax deductible.
